While I did get to class slightly late, my situation wasn't quite as dire as that of whomever left this poor "Spin" scooter sideways just outside of VCU's Temple Hall. Those scooters have saved my attendance (and my legs) a fair share of times now. They have not saved my wallet.
The commute back home after class led to these pictures below. $70 for that event at the Canal Club! Maybe if I stop renting the scooters, I'll have enough money to go.
Some shots from Monroe Park.
After my class was out, I stopped at this local Italian place called "Piccola Italy." Very good pizza by the slice. I wouldn't quite rank it above Christian's, though.
I drove my car kind of randomly across the area until I settled on parking at the 22nd St. parking garage and walking on a little bit of the Buttermilk Trail. That tree up top made that specific portion of the trail very challenging. This area is also the location of the Belle Isle dry rocks. I definitely wanna check more of that trail out!
My car's engine almost didn't survive the intense climb to Libby Hill park on the eastern side of the city, but damn was that trek worth it. Pristine views and signs of some industries that are now long gone. (On a side, I really hate that I missed that old factory place in Fulton before it got torn down...)
I tried going uphill at the edge of this road here for a cool shot and got pricked by a bunch of thorns. Still got a neat pic though!
When I pulled up to the totally healthy fast food restaurant to grab a quick bite before heading home for the evening, this guy was scavenging the trash can for French Fries. He was very funny. I decided to name him Mickey. All rise for Mickey.

Well, that's all I have for today. Plan to do this more. Hopefully get better at collages and website design too.Â
Cheers.
